  • From Empathy to Empathesis

Open Access•Bianca da Nóbrega Rogoski, Eileen Pfeiffer-Flores•ARTICLE•Human Studies•2026

This work presents a comprehensive conceptual analysis of empathy and introduces the neologism empathesis . It begins with a brief historical overview of the concept of empathy, whose definitions vary widely, ranging from emotional involvement to helping others. • The role of inferences in reading comprehension

    Open Access•Gilberto Gauche, Eileen Pfeiffer-Flores•ARTICLE•Theory & Psychology•2022

The main issues found are that the way inferences are curren…

Responderam principalmente mulheres brancas de classe média a alta com escolarização avançada. Mesmo para esse segmento privilegiado, constatou-se que a pandemia exacerbou as d…

  • Evaluating the use of programmed reinforcement in a correction procedure with children diagnosed with autism

    Open Access•Ana Carolina Cabral Carneiro, Eileen Pfeiffer-Flores et al.•ARTICLE•Psicologia Reflexão e Crítica•2019•References: 27

Background Procedures that reduce errors while learning a repertoire play an important role in Applied Behavior Analysis for people with autism due to the detrimental effects that excessive exposure to error may have on learning. Previous studies have investigated the effects of correction procedures that require active student response after a trial with error. Some intervention manuals recommend against reinforcing responses after correction to…
