The public search for a spouse in Türkiye
This article compares two sets of spouse-seeking texts from Türkiye: matrimonial advertisements published in the Ottoman Turkish periodical İzdivaç in 1918 and marriage-oriented posts shared on Facebook and Instagram in 2025. Tracing Princess-Ship in Studio Ghibli Films
Since its establishment in 1985, Studio Ghibli has produced a series of films whose main protagonists were princesses but mostly with stories far different from the traditional princess narratives in Western film.
