  • Dynamics of physico -chemical properties of soil in response to hilly aspects in community forest, Rampur Palpa

Open Access•Janak Bhattrai, Ram Asheshwar Mandal et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Historical Archaeology…•2022

This research was objectively conducted to assess physico-chemical properties of soil among aspects. Total 64 soil samples were collected from 0 to 10 and 10-20 cm depths from North East, South East, North West and South West aspects. The physical and chemical properties of soil were analyzed in the lab. Average moisture content was found highest at North East aspect (39.46±1.11%) at 0-10 cm depth and 37.52±0.96 % at the depth of 10-20 cm. Nitrog…

  • Assessment of species diversity and its management challenges in avenue plantation (study of Shankhamul and Balkumari road)

However, the research regarding employment and income generation through this business is very limited. Thus, this research was objectively conducted to assess the stock of major tradable medicinal species, employment and income generatio…

  • Weather station and annual temperature dynamics in the elevation gradient (spatial and temporal analysis of Chitwan-Annapurna, Nepal)

    Open Access•Ram Asheshwar Mandal•ARTICLE•Journal of Historical Archaeology…•2020

This research was objectively done to assess gaps in distribution of weather stations, show temperature status and dynamics. Hence, primary data specifically minimum and maximum temperature from 1970 to 2015 was collected from 35 functional weather stations in Chitwan Annapurna Landscape (CHAL) of nineteen districts, Nepal. The map of the weather station was prepared. Moreover, linear regression, ANOVA and Duncan test were applied for statistical…

  • Climate variability, disasters and their impacts assessment in Manahari, rural municipality of Makwanpur, Nepal

Open Access•Ram Asheshwar Mandal, Bindu Subedi et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Historical Archaeology…•2019

Nepal is climatically very sensitive country because of long drought, heavy floods, landslides and soil erosion caused by changing pattern of rainfall and temperature. However, there are very limited studies related to these issues, thus this research was objectively carried out to analyze temperature and precipitation trend of study area, examine the climate pattern and assess the impacts of climate change hazards on different sectors. Ward numb…
