Comment on North American Pacific Coastal Migration Theory and the Last Glacial Maximum Age of Human Tracks at White Sands, New Mexico
The Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) age of the White Sands Locality 2 archaeological site in southern New Mexico has redefined the peopling of the Americas. The earliest archaeological sites in North America south of Beringia ranged in age from ∼16,000 to ∼14,500 years ago. This timing followed the LGM and allowed for human migrations along the Pacific coast unimpeded by substantial glacial ice barriers. Radiocarbon dates of ∼23,000–20,700 calibrated …
Can transport costs explain the near absence of marmot bones at shoreline archaeological sites on Vancouver Island? Finding input values for central place modelling with biological scaling
Coast-proximal inland archaeology and the Vancouver Island marmot (Marmota vancouverensis)
A Case Study in Recognizing Prehistoric Subsistence Organization through the Interpretation of Faunal Remains
The distribution of food in space and time influences hunter-gatherer settlement and subsistence patterning in generalizable ways. In North Slope, Alaska, where caribou (Rangifer tarandus) are abundant annually in predictable locations, storage equalizes availability across relative scarcity. This study examined an assemblage of caribou long-bone specimens from an activity area at the Croxton archaeological site for evidence of mass processing fo…
A zooarchaeological study of Rangifer tarandus (Linnaeus, 1758) from the Croxton site in Brooks Range, Alaska, and implications for utility analysis

Characterization of obsidian from the Tibetan Plateau by XRF and NAA
Variação Diastrática E Diageracional Do R-Forte Em Português Por Falantes Bilíngues De Hunsriqueano Como Língua De Imigração Alemã No Rio Grande Do Sul
O diagnóstico destas variáveis permite apreçar a persis…
