Pictorial stereotypes and images in the Euro debt crisis
In the Euro debt crisis, it is hardly surprising that reciprocal stereotyping is carrying the day in the national media reviving old images of the respective ‘other’. Ausgehend von einer Kritik an vorliegenden theoretischen Ansätzen zur sozialen Erinnerung wird hier ein Mikro-Makro-Modell vorgestellt, in dem das kulturelle Gedächtnis auf der Makro- und die kollektiven Erinnerungen auf der Mikroebene lokalisiert sind.
