A postcolonial reading of colonial strategies in Shakespeare's plays
This paper aims at highlighting the postcolonial features inherent in some of Shakespeare's plays by adopting what Ashcroft, Griffiths and Tiffin call “symptomatic reading” in their seminal work on postcolonial discourse, The Empire Writes Back (1989).
