Blood Struggle: The Rise of Modern Indian Nations
This study of Indian affairs in recent American history begins with two chapters summarizing the “deadening years” of Indian policies before the mid-twentieth century that gradually tore Indians from traditional cultures and political autonomy, robbed them of land and resources, and deepened their poverty (p. 27).
