  • Palaeoenvironmental reconstruction of poorly stratified sites using malacological assemblages of archaeological features: A case study in Reims (NE France)

Open Access•Salomé Granai, Christophe Laurelut et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2024•References: 10

  • The emergence of monumental architecture in Atlantic Europe: A fortified fifth-millennium BC enclosure in western France

Open Access•Ard, Marylise Onfray et al.•ARTICLE•Antiquity•2023

The earliest monumentality in Western Europe is associated with megalithic structures, but where did the builders of these monuments live? Here, the authors focus on west-central France, one of the earliest centres of megalithic building in Atlantic Europe, commencing in the mid fifth millennium BC. They report on an enclosure at Le Peu (Charente), dated to the Middle Neolithic ( c . 4400 BC), and defined by a ditch with two ‘crab claw’ entrances…

  • Withdrawn: Recy « Le Mont Grenier » (Marne): Un gisement de fosses du Mésolithique

    Open Access•Nathalie Achard-Corompt, Emmanuel Ghesquière et al.•ARTICLE•L Anthropologie•2021

  • Holocene palaeoenvironments from the Direndall tufa (Luxembourg) reconstructed from the molluscan succession and stable isotope records

    Open Access•Salomé Granai, Julie Dabkowski et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2020•Cited by: 1•References: 15

This paper reports the results of new malacological analyses from a thick tufa sequence at Direndall (Luxembourg). The study is temporally contextualised with radiocarbon dates and an age–depth model. The malacological study focuses on species associations to reconstruct palaeoenvironmental developments. The gradual appearance of several shade-demanding species reflects the expansion of forest environments during the early Holocene. After c. 7.5 …

  • Early human impact on soils and hydro-sedimentary systems: Multi-proxy geoarchaeological analyses from La Narse de la Sauvetat (France)

    Open Access•Alfredo Mayoral, Salomé Granai et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2020•References: 12

We analysed the late-Holocene pedo-sedimentary archives of La Narse de la Sauvetat, a hydromorphic depression in the southern Limagne plain (central France), where chronologically accurate studies are scarce. The multi-proxy geoarchaeological and palaeoenvironmental analysis of two cores from different areas of the basin was carried out through sedimentological, geochemical, micromorphological and malacological investigations. Integration of thes…

  • Contribution of two malacological successions from the Seine floodplain (France) in the reconstruction of the Holocene palaeoenvironmental history of northwest and central Europe: Vegetation cover and…

    Open Access•Salomé Granai, Nicole Limondin-Lozouet et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science•2014•Cited by: 3•References: 13

  • Evolution paléoenvironnementale de la vallée de la Seine au tardiglaciaire et à l’Holocène, à Paris (France), d'après l'étude des malacofaunes

    Salomé Granai, Nicole Limondin-Lozouet et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternaire•2011•Cited by: 3•References: 3
