Beyond neoliberal and deconstructive space
Beginning from reference to Lefebvre's spatiology, in this article the author elaborates how political and social space disappeared in and with neoliberalism and post-modernity. Both discourses appear through the image of the Piraeus as the commercial city and therefore, in contrast to the city of Athens, the Agora and polis proper. The primary goal is to understand how this specific "regime of truth" turns out to be the foundation of the twenty-first century Realpolitik, from which Western government techniques derive. Biopolitics relevantly emerges as a process of fragmentation and dissolut…

In the article the author reflects upon the issue of the basis of Hobbes's theory of liberalism i.e. examines the way how a par excellence theory of Modernity shifts from being a political ontology into apolitical haunt logy proper. In this light, the first part of the paper - beginning from Hobbes's concept of politics as a technique - the concepts of appearance, representation, theatre and imagination are reflected as the foundations of soverei…
Philosophy as politics of emancipation
Beginning, first and foremost, from Marx's and Badiou's analyses, the concept of philosophy as politics of emancipation is considered. Politics of power via politics of force and violence is contrasted to a contemporary line of rethinking politics of emancipation and the emphasis - besides the exploration of practices of freedom, justice and equality - is placed on Marx's idea of "true democracy" (wahre Demokratie). This refers to rethinking poli…
