    The 2011 investigations of the Caves Branch Archaeological Survey at the large and recently documented Maya site of Tipan Chen Uitz resulted in the discovery of the site's first monument with a glyphic inscription.     Recent investigations at the Maya site of Chau Hiix, Belize have identified a previously undocumented long structure on the north side of the central precinct. This possible civic-ceremonial structure (Structure 150) represents part of a larger remodeling of the site center during a transitional period in the community's history.
