In Ecuador, according to reports, most of robbery modalities constantly decreased between 2009 and 2015. Homicide rate rose from 1999 to 2009 but decreased from 2010 to 2017 around 65%, from 18.74 to 5.78. It was the only case of this kind in the Americas.
