Influentials and the Church in Small Communities
This paper examines the potential of the church as an effective force in community decision-making. Community leaders in 14 small, southern Ohio communities were identified. Data gathered from them indicated that the church has a great potential for influencing local decision-making. Over 90 per cent of the community influentials identified themselves as church members and over two-thirds attend two-thirds or more of the services. Many indicated …
