Implicit–Explicit Motive Congruence and Moderating Factors
This chapter reviews the literature on congruence between implicit ( unconscious ) and explicit ( conscious ) motives. The conventional wisdom that implicit and explicit motives are statistically independent is shown to be incorrect.
