The aim of this article is to carry out a narrative review of the literature on the participation and retention of women in management positions, seeking to identify predominant approaches and research gaps. The review revealed the presence of concepts such as gender, feminism and intersectionality, suggesting gaps in the literature and indicating directions for future research on the subject
