Multigenerational Living and Mental Health Outcomes of Working‐Age Adults and Children—A Scoping Systematic Review
Background: Household compositions can impact health‐related outcomes. However, the definition of multigenerational living and its associations with mental health outcomes in adults and children are unclear. Changes in gay and bisexual men's connectedness to the gay community are related to the declining public visibility of HIV/AIDS and greater acceptance for homosexuality and bisexuality in mainstream society. Little work, however, has focused on perceived acceptance for subgroups within the gay community or broader society. Although a great number of scholars have explored these changes, explanations have typically been sought in mimetic performances of Western gender relationships among native communities and hegemonic restructuring of attitudes by outside agents. A Critical Test of the Central Plains Tradition Swidden Model Using Data from the Glenwood Locality
The data that has been presented in support of a swidden model for the Central Plains tradition (CPt) are equivocal. If the current models of CPt subsistence and settlement are to be changed, either unequivocal evidence or pressures potentially driving that change must be identified. The Aker site (23PLA3) is a Kansas City Hopewell village site situated on the floodplain at the confluence of the Platte and Missouri Rivers. This unusual placement and evidence for periodic flooding raise questions about site use.
