Youth Unemployment, and Out-of-Home Recreation
This paper presents fresh evidence on the impact of unemployment on young people's leisure. The evidence is from interview surveys during 1985 among 854 17–18 year olds in three parts of Britain—Chelmsford, Walsall and Liverpool. At the time of the interviews 8, 28 and 41 percent of the young people in these areas were unemployed.
