Hearths and hearth structures of the Pushkari I Upper Paleolithic settlement
At the Pushkari I Upper Paleolithic settlement three settlement complexes with dwellings, activity areas, and hearths have been excavated. The first part of the Upper Pleniglacial (around 26000—20000 BP) is characterized by a deterioration in weather conditions, which reached its peak during the Last Glacial Maximum. In the East European Plain, most of its lands were dominated by a periglacial steppe-tundra with the maximum extension of ice sheet in the North and permafrost. У статті представлені результати типолого-статистичного аналізу крем’яної колекції розкопу VII верхньопалеолітичної стоянки Пушкарі І (Новгород-Сіверський р-н Чернігівська обл.). Всього крем’яна колекція нараховує 36777 одиниць, з яких 4% складають знаряддя праці.
