Sexual Dating Violence and Suicide Risk
Sexual dating violence (SDV) is a global issue affecting young women, increasing health risks, including suicide. This study analyzes the relationship between SDV and suicide risk (SR) in 1,239 women aged 18-28 from Chile, Colombia, and Spain, using a cross-sectional, cross-cultural design. This study compares the problem-focused emotion regulation strategies used by 200 female survivors of intimate partner violence (age: M = 40.16, SD = 11.27, 18 - 66 years) to cope with violence throughout various stages of change (SOC).
