The Otter Lovers
The Kulina and the Kanamari of Amazonia tell an almost identical myth of the origin of the peccary, yet the peccary embodies the cyclical time of ritual for the Kulina and the linear time of history for the Kanamari. This article traces these differences and explores their consequences.
