Determinants of health are important drivers of health states, yet there is little work examining their role in the relationship between HIV stigma and health. Intergenerational fertility correlations in contemporary developing counties
OBJECTIVES: To estimate the magnitude of intergenerational continuities in total and effective fertility among women in a group of 46 contemporary developing countries. METHODS: Information collected from 93,000 women aged 45-49 for estimation of maternal mortality in the demographic and health surveys (DHS) program is analyzed using Pearson product moment intergenerational fertility correlations. The goal of this study was to investigate the degree to which school-based and nonformal education programs that focus on air quality (AQ) achieved measurable AQ improvements, and whether specific instructional methods were associated with those improvements. This study explored older men's and their partners' reactions to a television news program on the medical debate surrounding the use of the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test for prostate cancer screening.
