Speaking out against racism? Silence, agency and unheard voices among racialised communities in Australia
Denying the persistence of racism and its impact on racially and culturally marginalised communities remains a key feature of how contemporary racism manifests. The article sets out the concept of a State-to-State human transfer agreement of which extradition and deportation are specialised forms. Asylum sharing agreements are other variations which the article explores in more detail. Study objective: To investigate the association between motor vehicle driver injury and socioeconomic status. Design: Cohort study with prospective and retrospective outcomes. Setting: New Zealand. In this study we evaluated whether pteridophytes are reliable indicators of urban forest integrity. We inventoried the total pteridophyte diversity in 82 forest patches of the Hochelaga Archipelago (Montréal area, Québec, Canada), and evaluated their level of integrity using landscape metrics (e.g., area, connectivity, matrix composition) calculated from satellite imagery and land use maps. The article explores the international rights at issue in expulsion and the content of the corresponding effective remedy required of a State. International treaty body jurisprudence from individual cases is critically examined to expose progress and problems remaining for both the rights and the effective remedy. Four overlapping subfields of urban policy analysis are reviewed. The political leadership analyses include elite theories, group theory, neo-Marxist work, and network analyses. Consideration of citizen preferences involves populist spatial theories, budget pies, and policy responsiveness.
