The Non/Performativity of Solidarity in Transnational LGBTIQ+ Activism
Drawing on multisited ethnography in Kenya and the Netherlands, this article explores how Kenyan LGBTIQ+ activists navigate opportunities, tensions, and constraints in transnational activism. Promotion of male condoms and voluntary counselling and testing for HIV (VCT) have been cornerstones of Kenya's fight against the HIV epidemic.
