It emphasizes the need for comprehensive prenatal care that incorporates social and psychological support, thereby enhancing resilience and overall well-being in pregnant women amidst the multifaceted challenges faced in Lebanon
Somatic symptom and related disorders in the Arab world
SSRDs are common but under-recognized in Arab contexts. Effective management requires early detection in primary care, culturally sensitive communication, and disorder-specific interventions. Future research should broaden the scope beyond SSD, examine longitudinal and trauma-related pathways, and evaluate culturally adapted models of care
The impact of posttraumatic stress disorder and head injury on reactive and appetitive aggression in adult Syrian refugees in Lebanon
PTSD and head injury are independent risk factors for reactive aggression but not appetitive aggression in Syrian refugees in Lebanon, while the severity of somatic symptoms is an independent risk factor for both reactive and appetitive aggression. Psychological distress experienced by physicians and nurses at a tertiary care center in Lebanon during the Covid-19 outbreak
The COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant mental health toll on healthcare workers in Lebanon. We examined pandemic-related psychological distress among healthcare workers in a tertiary care medical center. One hundred and fifty participants completed an online questionnaire.
