Based on ethnographic fieldwork, this article explores the system for appointing staff working for the justices of the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice, particularly its clerks, and analyzes it as the origin of a mechanism that ensures judicial reproduction understood as the reproduction of a certain legal culture.
