Developing an mHealth Intervention to Increase HPV Vaccine Confidence Among Black Families
Despite over 15 years of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination implementation, uptake remains below national targets. Black/African American adolescents are less likely to complete the HPV vaccine series, due to a myriad of multilevel factors including vaccine hesitancy. Cold shock response in healthy children
The current study presents new data on the cold shock response in healthy children and the first comparison between cold water immersion and warm water immersion in this population. Data showed that immersion into 11 °C (52 °F) cold water leads to significant increases in heart rate and respiratory rate, in contrast to immersion in warm water. Remarkably, there is a lower intensity of the cold shock response in children compared to adults

Paul Cohen’s philosophy of mathematics and its reflection in his mathematical practice
This paper studies Paul Cohen’s philosophy of mathematics and mathematical practice as expressed in his writing on set-theoretic consistency proofs using his method of forcing. Since Cohen did not consider himself a philosopher and was somewhat reluctant about philosophy, the analysis uses semiotic and literary textual methodologies rather than mainstream philosophical ones. Not only ritual, but also kinship, can be understood as self-generative and in fact mutually self-generative social phenomena. They are in this sense foils for each other's production of social values, transformations, causes, and effects.
