El canto de Oztocohcoyohco
Doy a conocer un breve canto o himno que se entonaba hasta hace muy pocos años en Oztocohcoyohco, "la cueva horadada", que se en-cuentra en las inmediaciones de Hueyapan, Mor., cerca del llamado Quetzaltépetl, en las estribaciones del Popocatépetl.

Examples of the now extinct Peninsular Yuman language Cochimí, collected by the Jesuit Franz B. Ducrue in the eighteenth century are given. Historical and bibliographical information on these and other early Yuman sources is included. In addition, León-Portilla translates Ducrue's Latin glosses into Spanish to make them more accessible.

The document published here, a letter in Nahuatl written in 1595 by a member of the Indian community of Chiyauhtzinco, district of Olinala in the present day state of Guerrero, comes from Ramo de Inquisición of the Archivo General de Ia Nación, Mexico.
