In the United States, Black people face harsher health and social consequences of addiction compared to people who are not Black. Arts programming can amplify youth voice, creative self-expression, and promote civic engagement and social change. This paper describes a case study of a youth participatory action research at an arts organization in the northeast of the U.S. that promoted youth participation, critical reflection, and action.
