Union and management cooperation to address psychosocial hazards at work
Too little is known about how the perspectives of, and relationships between, unions and management may affect the management of psychosocial hazards at work. This is despite the potential impact of these hazards on workers and calls to better integrate industrial relations and work health and safety disciplines in order to respond more effectively. Drawing on the foundational industrial relations concept of frames of reference, and informed by r…
Our Wished‐for Responses
BACKGROUND: Medical interventions have a place in crisis support; however, narrow biomedical and risk-driven responses negatively impact people seeking crisis care. With increasing shifts towards involving people with lived experience (service users) in designing services, foregrounding people's desired responses is critical. Accordingly, the aim of the study was to explore the wished-for crisis responses from the perspective of people who have e…
Exploring the lived experience of receiving mental health crisis care at emergency departments, crisis phone lines and crisis care alternatives
BACKGROUND: Mental health crisis care includes emergency departments (EDs), crisis phone lines and crisis alternatives. Currently, there is an overreliance on EDs to provide mental health crisis care, with evidence that responses are often inadequate to meet the needs of people experiencing mental health crises. However, the complexities of how individuals experience crisis care across the varying contexts of EDs, crisis phone lines and crisis al…
A Late Neolithic Structured Dwelling
The Village Automobile de Lachaup, located about 5 km south of Gap agglomeration, was the subject of a preventive excavation in 2015 executed by Inrap under the direction of D. Dubesset. The site is located on the western slope of a small relief culminating at about 720 m altitude. The study revealed a structured habitat articulated around a ditch. To the east, it delimits an area devoted to the installation and operation of twenty circular heati…
The Middle and Late Neolithic settlement of Saint-Julien-lès-Metz in Moselle, Lorraine (Abridged version)
The preventive archaeological excavation of Saint-Julien-lès-Metz took place some twenty years ago, and the artefacts were completely restudied following the publication of this relatively well-preserved site. The site as a whole illustrates three Neolithic periods from sometimes unprecedented angles, and represents a major contribution to our understanding of village communities in Lorraine. The three recognised settlements span the 5th to 3rd m…
Mental Health Service Staff on Sharing Lived Experience in the Workplace
Over the past three decades, “lived experience” designated roles in mental health services in Australia have increased. However, the lived experience of staff in roles not designated in this way is often hidden or unacknowledged. This qualitative study included 33 participants employed in a range of roles at two Victorian mental health services, including 10 social workers. Interviews explored staff perspectives regarding the sharing of lived exp…

Supporting the Sharing of Mental Health Challenges in the Workplace
Personal experience with mental health (MH) challenges has been characterized as a concealable stigma. Identity management literature suggests actively concealing a stigma may negatively impact wellbeing. Reviews of workplace identity management literature have linked safety in revealing a stigma to individual performance, well-being, engagement and teamwork. However, no research to date has articulated the factors that make sharing MH challenges…

Amidst the waves, the Roc’h Santeg Leton rock shelter (Santec, Finistère)
The excavation of the rock-shelter of Roc’h Santeg Leton (Santec, Finistère) have been made in 2015 and 2016. This emergency excavation on the islet is linked to research programs on armorican rock shelters (“Take Shelter!” program) and on the erosion of coastal heritage (“ALeRT” program). D. Roué discovered the site in 1985 on a rocky islet 1300 m from the coast. Nine periods of occupation have been identified recorded in a 1.10 m thick stratigr…
Recent data for the funerary site of Lannemezan plateau and new insights into the Final Neolithic at the foothills of the western Pyrenees (abridged version)
A rescue excavation at the site of Centre mobilisateur 10, located in the south-east of the Lannemezan agglomeration (Hautes-Pyrénées) and otherwise known as the Arsenal, was carried out in 2016 by the Éveha team, under the leadership of V. Ropiot. From a geographic perspective, this sector, between Bigorre and Comminges, occupies an interface position on a fluvio-glacially formed plateau, culminating at an altitude of 600 m at the foothill of th…
A Magdalenian camp at Étiolles, Essonne (abridged version)
The aim of this article is to better understand the social structure of a small Magdalenian community through the palethnographic analysis of an occupation level of Étiolles, level U5-P15. This level was excavated over a surface of 700 m2 and is interpreted as part of the camp, consisting of two dwellings, U5 and P15, each of which housed a family unit, associated with four adjacent hearths. The spatial analysis shows the organisation of activiti…
The last Lateglacial and Early Holocene societies in France (abridged version)
Since the middle of the 1980s, a lot of research has focused on the end of the Upper Palaeolithic in France. This article presents an overview of these thirty years of research, organized around four main geographic units which structure our knowledge of these societies. However, this overview aims to bring to light the main dynamics driving the composition of the technical, economic, symbolic and probably socio-cultural systems in France as a wh…
Human and animal deposits in circular pits of the 5th millennium between the Rhine and the Danube
On account of recent developments in the absolute chronology of circular-shaped grave deposits from Bavaria, new bibliographic research and a series of discoveries in the south of the Upper Rhine Plain, we can now advance the hypothesis of an origin of this phenomenon in Central Europe, between the Czech Republic and Bavaria. These regions have yielded the earliest deposits with typologies encompassing all of the defined categories: burials in co…
Between Armorican and Norman influences
Discovered in April 2015 at Bois de Mirebeau in Bais (Mayenne, France), this new hoard made up of palstaves and annular ornaments, an association of objects frequently found in north-western France dating from the Middle Bronze Age 2. The interest of this hoard lies in the typological and cultural considerations of its objects. In this paper, we aim to discuss both the typology and technology of the fourteen palstaves and six annular ornaments, i…
Taking a Gamble for High Rewards? Management Perspectives on the Value of Mental Health Peer Workers
Mental health peer work is attracting growing interest and provides a potentially impactful method of service user involvement in mental health design and delivery, contributing to mental health reform. The need to effectively support this emerging workforce is consequently increasing. This study aimed to better understand the views of management in relation to peer work and specifically explores the value of peer work from the perspective of man…
The first Early Neolithic settlements in northwest France
Recently, several sites dating from the Early Neolithic were discovered in the extreme North of France, in a region where this period had been unknown up until now. The ten sites presented here all date from the Blicquy/Villeneuve-Saint-Germain (BVSG) chrono-cultural horizon, in a geographic sector located between the Oise valley to the east, the Somme valley to the south and the shores of the Channel/North Sea to the northwest. These sites are r…
An original example in Provence of Recent/Late Neolithic collective burial
Discovered in 2006, a collective burial, located at 200 m, north of the site Collet-Redon, in la Couronne, was excavated during two campaigns in 2014 and 2015. Located in the small valley called “the Chappats”, the tomb is installed in a pit with architectural features. Two sepulchral levels were identified. The first, probably composed of primary deposits, was partially removed. The second is consisted of an articulated individual and many commi…
The engraved monoliths in the Mané er Groez Neolithic passage tomb in Kercado (Carnac, Morbihan)
The site of Kercado, in Carnac, is situated above the valley of Kerloquet and the ria that runs along the beach of Kerdual for 2 km. It comprises a probable low mound, the cairn of Mané er Groez, with a passage grave, and a curvilinear enclosure of about thirty standing stones bordering the south side of the site. Three orthostats in the passage, three other stones in the funerary chamber, as well as the cover slab, bear engraved signs recorded m…
Variety of Chassean burials in the Toulouse region
Up until the discovery of the Chassean funerary complex of Sauzas, (Blagnac, Haute-Garonne), in 2008, all of the burials recorded in the Toulousain were in dwelling sites, and generally in domestic type structures (ditches, pits, shafts). For the first time, the Sauzas site shows the installation of a group of tombs at some distance from the dwelling area and sheds new light on the variety of funerary expressions in the Garonne region during the …
Fusiform axes and geochemical analyses
This paper reassesses polished spindle-shaped or long axes with round cross-sections, found between the end of the 19th century and the present time, following the discovery of axe fragments in a dated Middle Neolithic II context in Lower Normandy. They are made in dolerites, or other similar rock types from the ancient massif. They are exclusively found in the north-western quarter of France, but are paradoxically concentrated in peri-Armorican …
The LKB enclosure and associated structures at Menneville Derrière le Village (Aisne, France)
The enclosure of Menneville consists of segments of ditches stretching over nearly 1000 m and enclosing a large LBK settlement with at least two phases of occupation dated to the middle and late stages of the later LBK of the Paris Basin, or RRBP (Rubané récent du Bassin parisien). Numerous human remains have been recovered from the ditches of this enclosure, which also yielded quantities of domestic animal bones and rather fewer lithic and ceram…
Under the Hammer
This paper presents the results of an experimental programme investigating the effects of production processes on stone tools and their interference with use‐related features. In the first part of the experimental programme, a series of flint flakes was retouched with different kinds of hammers in order to assess the extent and nature of percussion residues. After careful environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) observation and energy‐di…
