Mortality and Morbidity Among Military Personnel and Civilians During the 1930s and World War II From Transmission of Hepatitis During Yellow Fever Vaccination
During World War II, nearly all US and Allied troops received yellow fever vaccine. Until May 1942, it was both grown and suspended in human serum. In April 1942, major epidemics of hepatitis occurred in US and Allied troops who had received yellow fever vaccine. Context: Approximately 20% of North Americans and 25% of Europeans reside in rural areas. Planning and providing end‐of‐life (EOL) care in rural areas presents some unique challenges. Perceived Versus Computed Change
Using a parallel groups format with university females, different results were obtained with perceived rather than computed change measures. Subjects were classified into three groups according to their sexual and contraceptive experience. With computed change measures, no significant attitudinal changes were found when subjects ( N = 91) viewed a birth control film.
