Fortifications of the Tyumen Ostrog and Posad in the 16th–18th Centuries
The article focuses on reconstructing the stages in the development of Tyumen’s fortification system from in the late 16th–18th century, based on archaeological excavation materials from 2023–2024, written sources, and dendrochronological dating of the wood from cultural layers. Tubeless clay kiln of the 17th century used for firing pottery on the Tarkhansky Ostrog
The article presents a tubeless clay kiln of the 17th century, used for firing ceramic products, in particular kitchenware. This is the first structure of this type in Western Siberia fully studied by excavations.
