In the Afro-Cuban Lukumi religious tradition—more commonly known in the United States as Santería—entrants into the priesthood undergo an extraordinary fifty-three-week initiation period. Despite recent attention to issues of religious diversification, mobility, and multiplicity, few sociologists have attended to the socio-cognitive dimensions of multiple religious participation. Bisexuality as a Category in Social Research
Bisexual and lesbian women are often categorized as a single entity in social scientific studies, resulting in potential distortion of knowledge.
