Cost-effectiveness analysis of tranexamic acid for the treatment of traumatic brain injury, based on the results of the CRASH-3 randomised trial
INTRODUCTION: An estimated 69 million traumatic brain injuries (TBI) occur each year worldwide, with most in low-income and middle-income countries. The CRASH-3 randomised trial found that intravenous administration of tranexamic acid within 3 hours of injury reduces head injury deaths in patients sustaining a mild or moderate TBI. All smoking cessation services had low emissions compared to the health gains produced. Text message support had the lowest emissions of the services evaluated. The blood groups and haemoglobins of the Kunama and Baria of Eritrea, Ethiopia
The Kunama and Baria tribes inhabit north-west Eritrea, Ethiopia, and are both of somewhat negroid appearance. Blood samples were tested for blood groups of seven systems, for glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and for abnormal haemoglobins. Pronominal enclisis in VSO languages
In this chapter we present evidence that both Semitic (Arabic and Hebrew) and Welsh clitic systems bear striking similarities to each other, and are significantly different from those of Romance or Germanic. We motivate an analysis of both systems which treats them as base-generated syntactic affixes in Agr. Hence these clitics are not in fact pronouns, that is, XPs.
