This study explored gender differences in the extent that alcohol affects the perceived severity of partner aggression, and assessed the relationship between partner aggression and drinking pattern. Teenage alcoholic beverage preferences
The preferences of 2641 teenagers for beer wine or spirits were assessed and compared to other variables examined in the UK part of the European School survey project on alcohol and other drugs (ESPAD). Preference assessment was indirect, relying on the frequencies of consumption of the different beverages in the past month. Wine was less commonly preferred than either beer or spirits. The conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea, that broke out on 6 May 1998 was formally ended on 12 December 2000, when both countries signed a framework peace agreement in the Algerian capital, Algiers. In December 1995, Eritrean and Yemeni forces clashed over control of the Hanish islands, close to the mouth of the Red Sea. HIV/Aids risks, alcohol and illicit drug use among young adults in areas of high and low rates of HIV infection
The results are presented of a survey of HIV/AIDS related risks amongst young adults in two urban areas in Scotland. This exercise elicited data from random samples of those aged 16-30 in Muirhouse and Easterhouse. Muirhouse has a high rate of HIV infection, mainly related to intravenous drug use. Easterhouse has a much lower rate of recorded HIV infection. A total of 1,378 individuals were successfully interviewed. Levels of knowledge about risk…

Data were elicited by standardized interview and self completed questionnaires from a non-random study group of 350 males and 428 females.
