Two Hoards from Southwestern Crimea, Containing “Limes” Denarii and Antoniniani
The article discusses two hoards of Roman coins from southwestern Crimea, now held in the State Historical Museum of the Southern Urals (Chelyabinsk). They were acquired by the well-known archaeologist N. K. Minko during his excavations near the village of Burlyuk in Simferopol district in 1909—1911. The first hoard, consisting of 351 denarii from Nero to Maximinus I, represents either part of a garrison treasury or a payment made to a federate. …

In 2020, a hoard of 14 Chersonesian tetrassarii with dates was discovered during the archaeological excavations at Dezdar-dere 2 Necropolis located on the territory of Sevastopol.
