QIsaa, OG, and MT Isaiah 63
The substantial textual variation among three major witnesses to Isa 63:3 (1QIsaa, OG, and MT) has received relatively little attention in the commentary literature and in the scholarly journals and monographs. These witnesses attest to a short text (1QIsaa), a long text (OG), and an even longer text (MT). The present article proposes that the OG Vorlage is an expansion of a pre-1QIsaa text, while the MT is an expansion of 1QIsaa

Nietzsche on the Poverty and Possibility of Human Love
Nietzsche’s portrait of Jesus as a lovesick knower of the heart in BGE 269 aligns the problems of Christian love with some of Nietzsche’s critical remarks about erotic love in the Free Spirit works. In this paper, I will examine the nuances of Nietzsche’s criticisms of erotic and of Christian love and demonstrate that in their failures, they also contain potential for forms of love that Nietzsche celebrates: self-love, friendship, and amor fati. …
A Grounded Theory Analysis of the Experience of Therapy in the Context of Negative Change
Negative change occurring during psychotherapy is relatively underresearched and current theories take little account of social context. Eight clients and four therapists were interviewed about their therapy experience when reliable score deterioration on an outcome measure was observed, with the aim of generating a Grounded Theory model of negative change. While the Apollonian and Dionysian in Nietzsche’s Birth of Tragedy are often understood as a rehashing of Schopenhauerian metaphysics, recent accounts have shown that his use of these concepts is at odds with such a metaphysics, interpreting them instead as myths.
