Effect of Seating Location on Undergraduates’ Performance Based on Classroom Size and Quadrant Surveying
This study explores the relationship between seating quadrants and student performance, including the role of classroom type in the quadrant effect. Data collected from 131 classes taught at 17 colleges of Northwest A&F University in China were analyzed using the ordinary least squares method. The results revealed that where a student sat in a classroom always had a significant effect on their performance. Classroom type also played an important …
Sex-related association between smoke exposure and gallstones in a US population
This study indicates smoking and elevated serum cotinine levels may be risk factors associated with the development of gallstones. Notably, the associations were specifically observed among women. The findings suggest the significance of smoking in the incidence of gallstones, which may potentially provide insights for future research on strategies to prevent gallstones, particularly among women. Correlation analysis between physical activity and depressive tendencies among occupational groups
Prolonged SB is common in the current workplace in China. Replacing an average of 30 min per day of SB with VPA and MPA, even walking is associated with less depression among workers. In addition, insufficient daily sleep is also an important risk factor for workers' depressive tendencies. These findings provide valuable evidence to promote mental health among occupational groups and support the development of healthy workplaces
