  • A roadmap for maximizing the use and effectiveness of recovery housing for individuals prescribed medications for opiate use disorders

    Open Access•Amy A Mericle, Carmen L Masson et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Introduction: Safe and stable housing is increasingly recognized as critical to recovery from alcohol and drug use disorders, but research on the outcomes of residents in recovery from opioid use disorder (OUD), particularly those prescribed medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), is limited. Methods: = 15) and discussion with experts in the recovery housing and OUD treatment fields serving as Advisory Board members on the Infrastructure for …

  • X-chromosomal STRs in aDNA kinship analysis

Anna Bretschneider, Janine Mazanec et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropologischer Anzeiger•2024

The analysis of ancient DNA (aDNA) from human skeletal remains can provide useful insights when investigating archaeological finds. One popular application of aDNA is to examine genealogical relationships between individuals recovered at the same archaeological site. For the reconstruction of genealogical relationships, several genetic markers are commonly used: autosomal STRs, mitochondrial lineages (based on SNP-analysis) and Y-chromosomal hapl…

  • Brief communication

    Open Access•Diane Schmidt, Hummel et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•2003•Citada por: 1•Referências: 24

This study introduces a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)‐based multiplex approach to improve the certainty of molecular sex identification on archaeological skeletal material. We coamplified amelogenin, two X‐chromosomal short tandem repeats (STRs) (DXS6789 and DXS9898), and two Y‐specific STRs (DYS391 and DYS392). The amplification results of this multiplex approach back each other up, and enable a reliable sex identification. This coamplificatio…
