A Multidimensional Analysis of Variables Related to Bar-Pressing in the Presence of Free Food
A comparison was made between schedules of reinforcement; continuous reinforcement (CRF), fixed ratio (FR-5 and FR-10), and various levels of deprivation, 0, 24, 48, and 72 hours, in the presence of food. Twenty-four male albino rats were randomly assigned to each of the conditions and trained to bar-press on a CRF schedule. The only significant effect (p < .05) was found between the CRF and FR-10 schedule. The results contradict previous studies…
