This article examines the legacies of racism and settler colonialism in contemporary Chile by examining political discourses in the context of the country's failed Constitutional reform process. We analyze newspaper articles during the period of the first progressive and the second conservative constitutional projects, which were both rejected in popular referendums in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
