Schizophrenia, Modernity and ‘Primitivism’
The article explores how schizophrenia was transformed into a globally viable, cross-cultural diagnosis. The contributors to this special issue have taken up the challenge of reconsidering some of the fundamental assumptions that have traditionally underpinned the history of internationalism.
