Self-care interventions for sexual and reproductive health (SRH), including HIV self-testing, self-injected contraception and self-managed abortion, offer promising pathways to advance universal health coverage, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Hair salons as a promising space to provide HIV and sexual and reproductive health services for young women in Lesotho
This study suggests that offering HIV/SRH services in hair salons in Lesotho seems to be largely acceptable and feasible with some addressable barriers, based on survey data. A pilot intervention, guided by this study's recommendations, is warranted to translate these findings into practice
