Motivational Orientation Explains the Link between Political Ideology and Proenvironmental Behavior
Liberals and conservatives show consistent differences in attitudes toward proenvironmental behavior (or PEB); this research seeks to understand why. We investigated the role of political ideology in predicting self-reported PEB and assessed whether this association was mediated by environmental motivation. Multi-stakeholder microgrids for resilience and sustainability
The electricity grid is susceptible to numerous threats, especially severe weather events that have the potential to cause large-scale power outages. This has resulted in an increased emphasis on resilience against these events. Energy Burden and the Need for Integrated Low‐Income Housing and Energy Policy
Using detailed sociological and public health qualitative interview data, we demonstrate that energy poverty is more pervasive, and results in a greater energy burden for low-income tenants, than many policymakers would assume. This is due in part to a lack of funding, policy non-coordination, and a lack of understanding of the social and economic benefits of energy conservation, energy education, and flexible utility billing policies. Exploring the Role of Family and Older People's Access to Food in Different Cultures
Increased longevity has contributed to the extensive change in family structure seen in the past 25 years around the world and in Australia. This article draws on the concepts of intergenerational exchange to further understand and explore older people's experiences of accessing nutritious food in a country where cultural diversity is a hallmark of the population.
