Recruiting Low-Income African American Men in Mental Health Research

Multi-Scale and Nested-Intensity Sampling Techniques for Archaeological Survey
This paper discusses sampling techniques for archaeological survey that are directed toward evaluating the properties of surface artifact distributions. The sampling techniques we experimented with consist of a multi-scale sampling plot developed in plant ecology and the use of a nested-intensity survey design. The Melbourne decision making questionnaire
A study was conducted to examine the factorial validity of the Flinders Decision Making Questionnaire (Mann, 1982), a 31-item self-report inventory designed to measure tendencies to use three major coping patterns identified in the conflict theory of decision making (Janis and Mann, 1977): vigilance, hypervigilance, and defensive avoidance (procrastination, buck-passing, and rationalization). Five common instruments used to assess marital adjustment and satisfaction are compared and reviewed. Studies that evaluated the psychometric properties of each are discussed.
