High attrition among HIV-infected patients with advanced disease treated in an intermediary referral center in Maputo, Mozambique

Reconstructing Holocene climate from tree rings
Despite promising research in the 1980s showing the potential of Scots pine ( Pinus sylvestris L.) for the reconstruction of past summer temperatures in the Scottish Highlands, little dendroclimatic work has been attempted in this region since. This reflects, in part, the limited number of sparsely distributed remnant natural/semi-natural pine woodlands in the Scottish Highlands and the lack of old growth forest therein. On average, most of the p…

Of these last two, one was on the eastern flank of the Jemez Mountains. The other hole, penetrating to a depth of …
Subsurface temperature data in Jemez Mountains, New Mexico. Circular 151
Temperature data taken in 13 drill tests around the Valles Caldera are presented. Seven of these tests were shallow auger holes (less than approximately 30m), 4 were rotary holes of intermediate depth (140 m to 170 m), and 2 were relatively deep tests (350 m and 730 m). Heat-flow measurements were obtained in the 4 intermediate drill tests whereas only geothermal gradients were measured in the remaining tests. Potential ground-water movement, lac…
