  • Effectiveness of Term Limits Combating Administrative Corruption

    Open Access•David Rodríguez, David Medina Rodriguez•ARTICLE•Governance•2025•Referências: 13

This paper examines how mayoral term‐limit rules shape the corrupt behavior of career public servants. Using the exogenous discontinuity created by Portugal's 2013 municipal elections, where some incumbents were constitutionally barred from reelection while otherwise similar peers could run again, I compare corruption‐related infractions committed by public servants across all mainland Portuguese municipalities. The analysis suggests a large decr…

We apply microsimulation techniques to household survey data and allocate incomes within the household, assuming that each person retains the income they receive (e.g., earnings, benefits targetin…

  • Cooperative videodance learning categories for pre-service teachers’ development

Dolors Cañabate Ortiz, David Rodríguez et al.•ARTICLE•Research in Dance Education•2024

This study demonstrates that videodance has the potential to create a paradigm shift in curriculum analysis and the implementation of hybrid activities in pre-service teachers at both the individual and group levels. Students’ critical perceptions, which had previously been trained in the domains of videodance, intermedial approaches, and cooperative learning, confirm the dimensions of video dance: videodance as an expression of language synergie…

In pursuit of this goal, the band has supported and developed digital spaces for fan interpretations, playlists, and remixes. • Narratorhood in the Anthropocene

    David Rodríguez•ARTICLE•English Studies•2018•Citada por: 3•Referências: 4

This essay develops a definition of a type of “narratorhood” specific to the Anthropocene. The concept of the strange stranger is adapted from Timothy Morton into narratological terms through an ecocritical perspective on unnatural narratology and the reading experience, arguing for an ethic of de-anthropomorphized reading that resists the interpretation of narrators as humanoids. Through analyses of Cormac McCarthy’s novel The Road and Richard M…

Open Access•Olivier Bargain, H Xavier Jara et al.•ARTICLE•The Journal of Economic Inequality•2017•Citada por: 1•Referências: 5

Over the last decades, Latin American countries have experienced a noticeable decrease in income inequality. While this trend is mainly associated with a decline in wage inequality, progressive reforms of the tax-benefit systems of the region may have played a role. While redistributive systems in Latin America are still in their infancy, they are constantly expanding and do so at different pace in the region. To investigate this point in a compa…
