  • Advancing primate surveillance with image recognition techniques from unmanned aerial vehicles

Open Access•Gang He, Xiao Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Primatology•2025

Using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for surveys on thermostatic animals has gained prominence due to their ability to provide practical and precise dynamic censuses, contributing to developing and refining conservation strategies. However, the practical application of UAVs for animal monitoring necessitates the automation of image interpretation to enhance their effectiveness. Based on our past experiences, we present the Sichuan snub‐nosed mon…

  • Social support and mental health symptoms during the Covid-19 pandemic

Open Access•Xing Zhang, Yanyu Xiao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Pacific Rim Psychology•2025

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges to mental health worldwide, exacerbating mental health symptoms across various populations. This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the relationship between social support and mental health symptoms, specifically depression, general anxiety, and stress, during the pandemic. We conducted a comprehensive literature search that identified 210 studies involving a total of 216,104 participants. Da…

  • Developing and testing the efficacy of a novel forecasting methodology

Open Access•Yuhong Yang, Tarik Dogru et al.•ARTICLE•Tourism Economics•2024

Numerous methodologies have been offered to forecast tourism demand; however, accurate forecasting has been a major challenge for policymakers despite its critical importance for tourism planning. Therefore, we propose and test a novel forecasting methodology that combines principal component analysis (PCA) and long short-term memory (LSTM) network, along with the Baidu index, to forecast daily tourist arrivals for a popular tourist attraction in…

  • The distinct development of stimulus and response serial dependence

Open Access•Liqin Zhou, Yujie Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Psychonomic Bulletin & Review•2024

Serial dependence (SD) is a phenomenon wherein current perceptions are biased by the previous stimulus and response. This helps to attenuate perceptual noise and variability in sensory input and facilitates stable ongoing perceptions of the environment. However, little is known about the developmental trajectory of SD. This study investigates how the stimulus and response biases of the SD effect develop across three age groups. Conventional analy…

Open Access•Yuan Liang, Quan Yuan et al.•ARTICLE•Transportation•2024

  • Gain-loss separability in human- but not computer-based changes of mind

Open Access•Yongling Lin, Pengfei Xu et al.•ARTICLE•Computers in Human Behavior•2023

  • Dissociated deficits of anticipated and experienced regret in at-risk suicidal individuals

Open Access•Hui Ai, Lian Duan et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

These findings suggest that young adults with suicidal ideation have difficulty predicting the consequences or the future value of their behavior. Individuals with suicidal ideation showed impairments in value comparison and flat affect to retrospective rewards, whereas individuals with high suicidality showed blunted affect to immediate rewards. Identifying the counterfactual decision-making characteristics of at-risk suicidal individuals may he…

  • The influence of personality traits and brain functional connectivity on social networks

Yiman Li, Cheng Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2021

  • Psychometric Properties of the Chinese Bermond–Vorst Alexithymia Questionnaire

Open Access•Zhihao Wang, Ting Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Pacific Rim Psychology•2021

The Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 (TAS-20) has been widely used to assess alexithymia. The Bermond–Vorst Alexithymia Questionnaire (BVAQ) assesses two additional features of alexithymia—the affective factors of emotionalizing and fantasizing, which are not included in the TAS-20. However, there is currently no Chinese version of the BVAQ. Here, the authors collected data from 439 college students (293 females, aged 17–27, mean ± SD = 20.25 ± 1.88)…
