  • Effect of retirement on the body mass index in China

Open Access•Jiarun Mi, Xueyan Han et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

On average, retirement has no significant impact on the BMI and overweight and obesity rates. Retirement leads to an increase in the BMI among men but does not affect that in women. When considering adjustments to existing retirement policies, the differential health effects of retirement across various populations should be taken into account

Open Access•Jin Hao, Han Yao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Objectives: China's National Health Service Items Standard (NHSIS) establishes a relative value system and plays an important role in pricing. However, there are few empirical evaluations of the objectivity of the NHSIS-estimated relative value. Methods: This paper presents a comparison between physician work relative value units (wRVUs) estimates for 70 common surgical procedures from NHSIS and those from the U.S. Medicare Physician Fee Schedule…

  • Interconnected mental health symptoms

Open Access•Rui Tao, Song Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

Burnout, depression, anxiety, and stress are relatively common among psychiatric nurses in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Open Access•Yuanli Liu, Chaomei Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

Borderline personality disorder (BPD), a complex and severe psychiatric disorder, has become a topic of considerable interest to current researchers due to its high incidence and severity of consequences. There is a lack of a bibliometric analysis to visualize the history and developmental trends of researches in BPD. We retrieved 7919 relevant publications on the Web of Science platform and analyzed them using software CiteSpace (6.2.R4). The re…

  • Association between exposure to greenspace and ECG abnormalities in China

Open Access•Zhaoyang Pan, Man Cao et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Our study found that higher exposure to greenspace was associated with a decreased risk of ECG abnormality, especially in urban areas. Our findings suggested that monthly exposure to greenspace might be beneficial to cardiovascular health, and greenspace provision and maintenance could be considered an important public health intervention in urban planning

This study aimed to assess the association between urbanization and ECG abnormalities in China based on the China National Stroke Screening Survey (CNSSS). We used changes in the satellite-measured impervious surfaces rate and n…
