    The establishment and results of a community-based distribution of oral contraceptives (OCs) in Rio Grande do Norte is presented. The Sociedad Civil de Bem Estar Familiar no Brasil (BEMFAM; Brazilian Association for Family Welfare) set up such a distribution program without commercial ties or incentive payments to distributors in August 1973.
