Mesolithic, Late Bronze and Early Iron Age Stone Artifact Collection from the Voznesenskoye I Site
This article introduces into scientific discourse a set of stone artifacts obtained during the 2020 and 2022 excavations at the Voznesenskoye I settlement. For the first time, a paleoanthropological study was conducted on the skeletal remains of the population of Kostroma from the 15th-16th centuries, discovered during excavations of the necropolis at 29B Deputatskaya Street. The paper deals with the analysis of materials from the Vodoba II settlement that demonstrates a complicated process of development of Late Kargopol antiquities nearby Lake Beloye. The discovered pottery assemblages are syncretic. It was discovered in a layer together with ceramics of the Vyatka-Vetluzh culture of the Ananyinsky cultural and historical region (AKIO). The individual finds identified in the cultural layer of the Odoevsky hillfort are not original, and are widespread throughout the territory of the AKIO.
