  • Risk factors for androgenetic alopecia

Open Access•Haoyang Li, Wenzhen Li et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2026

Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), the most common type of hair loss, is influenced by multiple factors. However, the associations between various risk factors and AGA remain controversial, with no systematic review or meta-analysis comprehensively analyzing these risk factors to date. PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases were searched for observational studies reporting on AGA risk factors from inception through January 5, 2024. 31 studies involving…

  • Farmers’ attitude towards green ammonia produced by upcycling waste nitrogen

    Open Access•Yu Wang, Wenzhen Li et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Futures•2025•Referências: 4

This study examines farmers' acceptance of green ammonia produced by upcycling waste nitrogen using renewable energy. A mail survey, targeting a random sample of crop growers in Iowa, USA, found moderately high acceptance: about 50 % support green ammonia as a fertilizer and 32 % support green ammonia as a fuel. Support for green hydrogen is only 17 % (24 % opposing), demonstrating a preference of the 2nd-generation over the 1st-generation techno…

Cross-sectional data from 589 Chinese adolescents were used to investigate whether parenting behaviors are directly or indirectly (through self-esteem and school adjustment difficulties) associated with adolescent depressive symptoms and problem behavior. Structural equation modeling results showed that school adjustment difficulties fully mediated the relations between two parenting behaviors (parental punitiveness and paternal monitoring) and a…
